Annie Randell is the President and Finance Director of AES Inc. A member of Qalipu Mi’kmaq First Nation, Annie has considerable background in all facets of service delivery to Indigenous communities. Twenty-eight years combined experience as General Manager of the Federation of Newfoundland Indians and Chief Executive Officer of Qalipu Mi’kmaq First Nation has provided Annie with a solid background in Indigenous issues, specifically in program implementation, negotiations and administration.
Over the past two decades Annie has been working within the Indigenous Labour Market programs to advance data collection for First Nations ASETS/ISETS to evolve their communities.
As Manager of Strategic Partnerships and Initiatives at Indigenous Services Canada since 2019, Annie has focused on community programming and federal legislation implementation for Child and Family Services.
Annie is a strategic leader. From a shared organizational vision, Annie has effectively and efficiently delivered and designed program and service implementation to Indigenous communities. As a member of the Negotiation Team to form Qalipu Band, Annie has vast experience in interpreting law, legislation, and policy. This experience has allowed her to manage risk, be accountable to funding agencies and membership, and successfully lead projects and organizations.
